1. Explore Piazza Tasso Piazza Tasso was established in 1866 and is the central hub of Sorrento, the heart of the city. It was named after the poet Torquato Tasso. It’s a terrific spot to soak up the Sorrento atmosphere and watch Italian life glide by (and Italians do like to dress well) whether it’s on foot, motorbike, train or Mercedes-Benz car.
